Fees

The Code of Virginia (§ 47.1-19) dictates the maximum amount a notary may charge for their services. As of July 1, 2024, the maximum amount allowed by law per notarial act performed is $10.00. I do charge $10 per notarial act, as each time I affix my seal it will constitute as a separate notarial act.

This fee includes research of specific agency to inquire whether an original notarized document is required, to confirm with a state agency if they will issue an apostille for a document notarized using remote notarization or other details such as whether the document requires translation or a cover page.

I can provide courier services to deliver notarized documents requiring apostilles to the appropriate agency for an additional fee of $30 plus the cost of the courier service.

This fee includes the research that I will conduct for you in relation to specific state / province departments that hold specific public records and to request death, birth, marriage, divorce certifications from both the U.S. and Canada on your behalf.

This service is provided electronically.

This fee includes 50+ credible, dependable photographs that can be used for landlords, tenants, insurance companies for purposes of insurance claims, legal records, property management, or ownership verification.

Travel fees are assessed based on time and not distance. The time is calculated using travel time shown according to Google Maps directions from my home office to your chosen appointment destination.

I will only charge minutes one-way going to your location.

The maximum minutes I will travel to your location is 40 minutes.
